AT HART: As our Development Director, Nancy researches, develops, and initiates new programs and procedures that will benefit HART in many vital areas. Nancy is our liaison with the Titusville Chamber of Commerce and is responsible in maintaining HART’s presence on their website, monthly newspaper and through various Chamber sponsored events.
As a member of our Fundraising Committee, Nancy seeks new ideas for events and other venues for raising money and awareness of our mission to rehabilitate and rehome retired off-the-track thoroughbreds. Fundraising is extremely important to our nonprofit as it provides us with the financial means to care for our rescues and to support our community outreach programs. Once an event is planned, Nancy plays a key role to ensure it is a success. Her leadership abilities have been demonstrated at such events as the Blueberry 5k Run/Walk, the “Courses for Horses” Turtle Creek Golf Tournament, the Chamber’s Taste of Titusville event, and other public programs and events.
Nancy steps in when needed and has spent time updating and maintaining some of our website pages as well as being one of our HART Facebook Administrators. You may also find her helping out at Pony Camp, Pony School lessons, or various events. Nancy also invests her time in community awareness and often puts people and businesses in touch with us to see if there is a match for mutual partnerships.
OFF THE CLOCK: Now retired, Nancy and her husband Mike have lived in Titusville since 1978. They have two grown children, two grandsons and one grandchild on the way! She enjoys her three miniature poodles at home and her Quarter Horse, Lucky, who enjoys a pampered life at HART. Now retired, Nancy enjoys riding, volunteering, and paper crafting.
