This was the latest spaghetti model as of 5 am, Tuesday, 9/5/17. Hart members met this afternoon and discussed our options as Hurricane Irma has become a Category 5 storm.
The plan at this point is to not evacuate our rescues unless it looks more and more likely that we’ll take a direct hit from Hurricane Irma. Our founder, Suzanna Norris, has stalls reserved further inland should the need arise to begin moving horses.
Keep us and the many other animal rescue groups in your thoughts and prayers as we continue to watch for latest updates on where Irma is exactly headed.
We appreciate the many notes and messages of concern for the fate of our horses. Please let HART know if you are in a position to help us before or after the storm. Additional volunteers are always needed to help secure loose items before the winds pick up and to clean up debris after the winds calm down.
Thank you!
