Steve Torres
AT HART: Steve has been at HART since 2015 and his main priority is to offer loving care to all of the horses on the property. He’s one of the on-site photographers for HART. He is a member of the HART Executive Committee.
OFF THE CLOCK: As a native New Yorker, Steve just moved to Brevard County to take care of his family as a priority. He is currently the official photographer for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation created by the Mercury 7 Astronauts, photographing their Gala events and Induction Ceremonies for the Astronaut Hall of Fame at the Kennedy Space Center. He has also taught Digital Media Studies and Senior Portfolio at Sanford Brown College in Orlando.
Background: Steve has worked for major print publications such as W Magazine and Women’s Wear Daily, and for digital platforms such as Epicurious.com, Style.com, Concierge.com as the head photo editor. He has been working for Condé Nast Publications for 15 years as the main “go to” person for photographic production and conducting photo shoots worldwide. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies from Hunter College of The City University of New York. His most memorable moment was being the disc jockey at an exclusive birthday party for actor Russell Crowe. Steve’s uncle in Puerto Rico was responsible for introducing his interest of animal care while working on his cattle ranch. Steve is not scared to get dirty!
