Congratulations to Maynette Smith for being HART’s Volunteer of the Week! We are so blessed to have someone of her caliber sit on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
Maynette worked for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center for 33 years, where she had the opportunity to work in engineering and management positions with multiple spaceflight programs, before retiring in October 2016. Since retiring, she has been helping in adapting tools and systems to make HART even more effective in accomplishing its mission.
Recently Maynette has set up Google for Nonprofits, Google AdWords, as well as other systems which will help us to share data more easily and do things we could never do before. Her expertise and Master’s degree in Computer Engineering has been invaluable.
Maynette has a great eye for detail and has helped us with the budget this year. She is friendly and sincere and always has a kind word for those who cross her path. We are so thankful that Maynette is part of our team and is such an active volunteer attending many meetings and always there when Suzee needs her. Thank you so much Maynette for your dedication and wisdom!
Maynette will receive a $25.00 gift certificate to Port St. Java as a token of appreciation for all the time and energy she donates to HART.
We at HART greatly value our volunteer help. Without these dedicated individuals, we would be unable to provide our services to the public. If you would like to volunteer, we’d love to have you here with us as a part of our HART family. No prior horse experience is necessary. Please feel free to call or text Donna Manfredi at 847-989-4248 or email her at: donna.manfredi@hartforhorses.org for more information regarding our volunteer program.
If you would like to nominate a deserving volunteer, please send an email to Nancy Boffo at: nancy.boffo@hartforhorses.org and explain why you think that person should be the Volunteer of the Week. A committee will pick the person and it will be announced weekly on our website blog and Facebook pages.
If you have any questions please feel free to call or text Nancy at 321-693-7213. And the next time you are at Port St. Java please be sure to thank them for supporting HART and this program!
