Jeannie Ruiz
At HART: Jeannie helps define the HART organizational structure and processes. She also researches potential grants and maintains the grant calendar to help ensure that all potential grant and accreditation applications are submitted on time. Her organizational skills and attention to detail come in handy. She is a member of the HART Executive Committee.
Off the Clock: Jeannie lives in Titusville with her husband and teenage boy / girl twins. Her daughter has been riding at HART since she was 6 years old, and they have spent much time together at HART. The family has a sweet Maine Coon cat that showed up at their house one day. Jeannie enjoys reading and gardening in her spare time.
Background: Jeannie grew up in Tennessee and had an Appaloosa during her teenage years. She graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked at Kennedy Space Center for 37 years, and is now retired. During her career she has worked on many programs – Spacelab, Shuttle, International Space Station, and Orion.
