The Value of Horse Rescue to Me
by Lillian Robertson
Everyone knows about rescuing dogs and cats, but has anyone ever thought of rescuing horses? These magnificent creatures are abused all the time whether intention or not. Some people take the responsibility but don’t understand the amount of hard work it is to properly maintain a horse forget tame or train them. Horse rescue to me, means removing a horse from a bad, unstable environment and putting in an establishment where they can be stabilized and be brought back to proper health. Horse rescue should be as important and as well funded and known as rescue for dogs and cats.
What Horse Rescue Means to Me
by Lily Schrack
I like horses a lot. Have you ever been to Paines Prairie? I have. My brothers live in Gainesville, that’s why we went. We saw a horse that just walked right up to us. Paines Prairie is a state park where they release rescue horses. I wanted a horse for Christmas and my birthday. I love riding horses. They are one of my favorite animals. What horse rescue means to me, I think it’s good. I don’t think it’s good that owners leave their horses stranded, because horses are innocent. 😀
What does horse rescue mean to me?
by Cheyenne Washburn
When I think of Horse Rescue, I think of neglected, broken, abused horses that have been given a second chance at life. I can picture a horse that was badly treated in a way that it was whipped or hit. Not understanding how somebody could be so cruel to any animal like these majestic creatures. There are many different reasons that a horse would need rescued. In some cases, it may just be that the owners could no longer care for the animals. It could be just plain old fashion selfishness and they don’t want to lose the horse, but they love them. It could also be money they could lose if their horse was a racehorse or a breeding horse.
If someone is unable to care for their horses, they should have someone do it for them. That’s where I think of Horse Rescue. I think calling Horse Rescue when you know you need help is better than waiting until it’s too late. Some people many think they will be able to care for them soon…BUT soon never comes quick enough. I wish people would just let Horse Rescue take over as soon as possible.
I believe that Horse Rescue would be able to care for the horses and give them what they need. They can feed them and get them medical attention. Most of all they will get the love they need. After being brought back to health they have a chance at a better life. A Second Chance! A chance to be loved! Horse Rescue can deal with things that others are not able to do.
Horses are amazing animals and could be very loyal and loving. Horse Rescue knows what a horse needs and can give it to them. Giving a horse a second chance shows how much Horse Rescue means. With a second chance a life is saved. I would love to be a part of giving a horse a second chance. I would love to care for a horse that needs some love. I could show them what it would be like to be LOVED!
I would love to be a part of the HART for Horses. What they do is awesome. May Aunt just got a beautiful horse from them. You would never know the horse had ever been abused. HART is amazing! My Aunt adopted Champ and he is a gentle loving horse.
