At HART: As the Volunteer Coordinator; Paula plans and facilitates monthly Volunteer Orientation and Training days, acts as the liaison for volunteer inquiries and concerns, and coordinates daily volunteer shift schedules with the Barn Manager.
Off the Clock: Paula lives in Viera with her husband Steve. They have two adult daughters who both live out of state. She is currently employed with Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC, as the Office Manager for the Melbourne Office. Paula enjoys spending time with Fed, her Off-the-Track-Thoroughbred, that she adopted from HART in May of 2020.
Background: Paula grew up in Massachusetts where she got involved in 4-H as a young teen and got her first horse, an Appaloosa, named Cherokee Lady, who she showed in both Western and English disciplines. Paula served in the US Air Force and retired after 24 years of active-duty service. During her career, she traveled the world, served on deployments, and gained extensive experience in personnel, crisis and funds management. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management.
